We’ve recently partnered with the Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society to create a Post-Shelter Housing and Community Connection Worker. This role is designed to assist youth in transitioning from shelter to stable housing while providing the essential support they need to maintain that stability.
Over the past year, we have recognized that a lack of post-shelter support has contributed to some youth returning to homelessness. By offering guidance and support during this vulnerable transition into adulthood, we aim to enhance their support networks, develop life skills, and foster a sense of belonging. These efforts will significantly increase the likelihood of successful housing outcomes and improve overall quality of life.
