Development and Community Engagement Manager – Part-Time Position

Our Development and Community Engagement Manager is an important contributor to our organization by helping us achieve our overall fundraising goals through communications, fundraising events, and donor stewardship. With a history dating back to 1989, Shelterlink is a non-for-profit agency that provides shelter and outreach services to youth. Our outreach program provides prevention, diversion, trusteeship, family mediation and reunification services. Our shelter program is Housing First for Youth focused and provides case management, diversion and basic needs, including meals, clothing, personal care items, showers, laundry facilities, and
respite from the elements. Shelterlink has 15 temporary short-term shelter beds and is located at 130 Youngs Street on the 3rd floor of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance – General Hospital.

What you would bring to the role:
– Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in Communications, Public Relations, Fundraising, Marketing, or related field.
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in development, fundraising, or relevant activities.
– Professional communication and editing skills.
– Proficient in using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
– Proficient with graphic design tools, such as Canva, websites, and social media platforms.
– Detail-oriented with organizational and time management skills.
– Events planning experience.

What we would offer:
-Opportunity to support a youth-serving organization on a part-time basis. This position is a hybrid position, working remotely, but available to work on-site in shelter 2-3 days per week.
-A competitive rate of $27.00/hour for 25-28 hours per week. This position primarily works weekdays, however, flexibility is required when occasional events occur on weekends or in
the evening. Vacation pay will be paid in accordance with the Employment Standards Act, starting at 4%, paid on each bi-weekly pay.
